Halo

A one of a kind ring hand carved from smokey quartz found in the creeks of Tabulam in northern New South Wales.

This piece is formed from softly translucent quartz with subtle smokey tones and delicate internal structures. Fine mineral inclusions and natural internal fractures create faint shimmering patterns within the stone, which become visible as light passes through the ring.

The smooth, sculptural form emphasises the natural clarity of the quartz. Its gently tapered profile allows the stone to glow softly when worn, revealing the subtle variations and depth within the crystal.

Smokey quartz from the Tabulam area occurs within the broader geological formations of the New England region of New South Wales, where quartz crystals formed within granites and pegmatites over millions of years before gradually being released into local creek systems through erosion.

The ring was cut, drilled, shaped and polished from a single piece of quartz using traditional lapidary techniques, carefully revealing the internal character of the crystal.
